Disclaimer & Risk
Important information about this website, what our software does and does not do, and the risks involved in holding and transacting in digital assets.

The three things that matter most
We provide self-custody software: you hold your keys, and we never hold your assets. We are not a bank and we take no deposits. Digital assets are volatile, you can lose everything, and deposit-protection and investor-compensation schemes generally do not apply.
General information only
The information on this site is provided for general information only. It is not an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any security, digital asset, or other financial instrument, and it is not investment, legal, accounting, or tax advice. Nothing on this site should be relied on as the basis for any decision.
You should obtain your own independent advice before entering into any transaction. We do not assess the suitability or appropriateness of anything described here for you or your institution.
No accuracy warranty
We take reasonable care to ensure that the information on this site is accurate when published, but we do not warrant that it is complete, current, or free from error, and we are under no obligation to update it. Any figures, market sizes, or third-party statistics are drawn from sources we believe to be reliable but which we have not independently verified.
What our software is
SQRL Enterpriseprovides self-custody settlement software. Clients hold their own keys and remain in control of their own assets at all times. Private key and seed material does not touch our infrastructure; signing takes place in the client’s own environment, and the platform coordinates, assembles, and broadcasts transactions the client’s quorum has already authorised.
It follows that SQRL Enterprise does not take deposits, does not hold client funds, and is not a bank. We do not act as a trustee, a fiduciary, a broker, a dealer, an exchange, or an investment adviser, and nothing on this site should be read as suggesting otherwise.
Risk
Digital assets are volatile and carry significant risk, including the possible loss of the full amount held. Risks include, without limitation:
- Key loss. In a self-custody model, losing control of the keys or of a sufficient number of quorum signers may mean the permanent and irreversible loss of the assets. No one, including us, can restore them.
- Irreversibility. A Bitcoin transaction, once confirmed, cannot be recalled, reversed, or charged back.
- Market risk. Prices can move sharply and without warning. Past performance is not a guide to future results.
- Technology risk. Software, hardware signers, and the underlying protocol may contain defects. Network congestion or fee spikes may delay settlement.
- Regulatory risk. The legal treatment of digital assets is developing and may change, in ways that affect their value, their transferability, or your ability to use our software.
- Counterparty and issuer risk. Tokenized assets depend on their issuer honouring the terms of the instrument and on any underlying reserves actually existing and being available.
Digital assets are generally not covered by deposit protection or investor compensation schemes, including the UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
Tokenized assets
Where this site describes tokenized stablecoins, gold, property, or other real-world assets, those instruments are issued by third parties and are subject to the terms of their issuers. We do not issue them, we do not guarantee them, we do not verify the existence or sufficiency of any reserve backing them, and we make no representation about their redeemability. Any description of such assets on this site is a description of what our software can represent, not an endorsement of any particular instrument.
Illustrative and fictional data
Product screenshots, dashboards, vault names, balances, counterparties, and transaction histories shown on this site are illustrative mock-ups. The figures are fictional. They do not represent real client positions, real assets under management, real transactions, or real performance, and no inference about the size or activity of our business should be drawn from them.
Availability by jurisdiction
Products and services described on this site may not be available in all jurisdictions and are offered only where they may be lawfully offered, subject to onboarding, eligibility, and compliance checks. This site is not directed at any person in any jurisdiction where its publication or availability would be contrary to local law.
Forward-looking statements
Statements about our plans, roadmap, expected functionality, or market development are forward-looking. They reflect our view at the time of publication, are subject to risks and uncertainties outside our control, and may not come to pass. We undertake no obligation to update them.
Third-party names and marks
Names and marks of third parties referred to on this site, whether hardware signers, protocols, or institutions, are the property of their respective owners. Their use does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from those parties.
Relationship to our other terms
This notice forms part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Use. The limitations and exclusions of liability in those terms apply to this notice.
